The Sarasin-RSBD 86 SERIES FULL NOZZLE design is based on our experience in NUCLEAR applications. It has been developed to protect drum, superheater and to comply with local regulation where isolated steam from atmosphere and remote sensing line are mandatory statement.

The Sarasin-RSBD 86 SERIES Pilot Operated Pressure Relief Valve has been developed to high temperature steam requirements. This new design and material is based on our extensive experience in nuclear applications. The DMS technology is the same as than currently used by SEBIM in NUCLEAR power plant. The design of the valve seal is performed without any elastomer. The main valve dome and DMS pilot sealing is insured by metallic bellows. This feature allows the Pilot Operated Pressure Relief Valve to keep a constant steam flow through the DMS pilot and the main valve without any impact on valve performance. "Hang-up" of guiding surfaces associated with comparable valves is eliminated with a unique anti-sizing feature. the first Pilot Operated Pressure Relief Valve in the world to offer this technology to prevent such kind of failure.

The Sarasin-RSBD 71 SERIES design is based on thermal expansion spring-loaded body design (9 SERIES) The Sarasin-RSBD 71 SERIES are an engineered custom-made design that has been industrialized and offer FULL NOZZLE Pilot Operated Pressure Relief Valve in Industrial Gas Service:
  • FULL NOZZLE version is better to insure body chemical protection
  • In case of upgraded process (higher backpressure / higher operating pressure) customer can simply go from Spring Loaded to Pilot Operated version keeping the same center-to-face dimension.
  • FULL NOZZLE version are integral wetted components which offer the advantage of removal for maintenance and replacement.

The Sarasin-RSBD 76 SERIES FULL NOZZLE design has been developed for customer who want to protect vessel against overpressure in cryogenic condition or insure body chemical protection, keeping the highest tighness requirements.

The Sarasin-RSBD 76 SERIES design is based on API STD 526 spring-loaded body design (P SERIES) including limited acceptable back pressure value. Therefore, the center-to-face dimensions and inlet/outlet rating meet API STD 526 for spring-loaded valves. In the API STD 520 Part I, the selection of the nozzle type is only available for Spring-Loaded PRV, not Pilot Operated PRV which are designed with semi-nozzle as a standard design.

The Starvalve Changeover Valve provides easy maintenance for a Pressure Relief Valve without having a process shutdown. It is designed to meet industry standard low pressure drop requirements and features a tested packing design with minimal leak points reducing fugitive emissions. Due to the changeover valve's design, no seat lapping is required for maintenance meaning there are minimal spare parts and a reduced cost of ownership. It reduces the risk of a pressure relief valve chattering from excessive pressure drop through traditional shuttle type changeover valves. The Starvalve is a rotor type changeover valve which maintains a pressure drop of pressure below 3% through its body. This changeover valve is designed for use in refineries within the petrochemical and cryogenic industries.
